In my mind, China is a fascinating country full of history and culture.  Being the country of my ancestors, I was often curious about what it would have been like if I had grown up there.  I was immediately hooked from my first trip to China in 2008 and I knew that it was a place that I wanted to explore thoroughly.  A year and a half later, who would have expected me to actually move there?

I ended up spending more than 3 miraculous years in China.  My perspective on China has somewhat changed (some for the better, some for the worse), but I can't deny the depth and charm of this place.  China has now contributed to a significant part of my life, forever holding a special place in my heart.
