Back in 2015, I had written about taking a train ride from Villach to Salzburg and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Austrian countryside. This time around, I was traveling from Linz to Ljubljana and it required me to take a connecting train from Salzburg to Villach. The scenery proved even more beautiful this time around and I’m not sure if it is because the route took me through more of the countryside or whether it is because I was just sitting on the wrong side of the train last time. For a good solid hour or so, the train kept moving in and out of little villages through hills and valleys to offer breathtaking views.
