Hotel Review: Angel Palace Hotel

After spending two nights at the Angel Palace Hotel in Hanoi, I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious stay at an economical price.  Right from the get go, everything was fantastic. We were met with great service by the front desk every time we approached them.

We had booked a twin room, which was very spacious.  However, there were two things about the bathroom that were a bit disappointing.  First, it was relatively small compared to the size of the room. Secondly, the toilet did not match the standard of the hotel at all.  It was difficult to flush and we’d always be required to flush it two or three times before it would work.  The bathroom was made better by having a rainshower showerhead with very good water pressure.

The hotel offered a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning and both mornings we ate there, they had a fried noodle dish, some veggies, some fruit and a choice of breads to choose from. Not the best breakfast, but there was enough variety to keep us satisfied.

From the hotel, it was about a 10-15 min walk to the core of the French Quarter. A 15-20 min walk in the other direction would take you to the Flag Tower and Mausoleum area.

Overall, this was really a fantastic hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, as long as I asked for a room with a stronger toilet the next time!
