Hotel Review: Tianrui Beijing 天瑞酒店

I had traveled to Beijing as part of a 3 person tour group and we were fortunate enough to stay at the Tianrui Beijing Hotel.  The staff were very knowledgeable and spoke great English.

The hotel is located in a traditional hutong (衚衕), a type of narrow street or alleyway which were once very common in Beijing.  Many neighbourhoods in Beijing are formed around these hutongs, but unfortunately, these are becoming more and more difficult to find as the government has decided to demolish many of them in place of new roads and buildings.

The hotel was located in a very quiet area, but within a 3 minute walk, you are at a very busy street corner with access to Metro line 5.  The location is also very close to a pedestrian street catering to shoppers.

As I mentioned before, we were part of a 3 person tour group.  My friend and I were staying in the same room and we had an elderly gentlemen join us on the tour and he had booked a single room.  The hotel ended up giving the room with the king sized bed to my friend and I, and giving a room with 2 double beds to the single traveler.  It wasn’t a big deal though, as we just swapped when we realized this.

The hotel had a restaurant and we ended up eating here for 2 of our 3 nights in Beijing.  The food was not only fantastic, but the restaurant staff were wonderful and very friendly.  The service was amazing and I have very fond memories of this hotel and would likely stay there again if I return to Beijing.
