The first night I was at this hotel, I checked in late and had to stay in a room on the ground floor, right next to the parking lot. This meant that I heard everything that was going on in the parking lot the next morning, which made for a very noisy morning. The second night, I moved up to the 4th floor, which was much better. The rooms were both very clean and the beds were comfortable. The water pressure of the shower and the toilets were great as well.
The only setback of the hotel is its location. It’s located on a little hill in the middle of a seedier neighborhood. Although it’s still easily reachable from Zhongshan Road (only 2 bus stops away), and within walking distance to Xiamen University (about 15-20 minutes away), I would probably choose to stay at the 7 Days Inn on Zhongshan Road next time.
