Hotel Review: Serendipity Resort Boracay

We booked a last minute trip to the Philippines for Christmas and by the time it came to looking for accommodations in Boracay, selection was limited.  We found availability at the Serendipity Resort and ended up staying there for 6 nights in a triple room.

It is a wonderful little resort run by two ladies who were extremely helpful and attentive.  The main entrance of the hotel faces the main highway, but it is an easy 5-10 minute walk to the beach.  Because of its location away from the beach, the resort was quiet at night, but you were never too far from all that was happening on the beach. The location also required that you walk through D’Mall to get to the beach, which meant that it was very safe, since there were always tons of people around the mall. There is also an all-purpose store located next to the resort, so it was extremely convenient.

Within the resort, there are a couple of sitting areas that are very cozy and comfortable.  The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, but it is a no frills type of place, so they don’t provide any soap or shampoo.  However, these things can easily be purchased next door at the all-purpose store.

I would definitely recommend staying at Serendipity, when in Boracay.  Serendipity doesn’t have an official website, so we booked it using an online booking engine.
