Hotel Review: B&B Quattro Palazzi

I was researching B&Bs in Naples when I found this property on one of the hotel websites I frequently visit.  I couldn’t find a single negative comment about this place, so I decided that this would be the place I would spend the one night I had in Naples.

I had contacted the owner (Bruno) directly but the quote he provided was €10 higher than what was listed on his website.  The difference is that if you make the booking online, you would need to pre-pay for the stay.  I ended up booking it on the website and had no issues at all.

Prior to arrival, please ensure you contact Bruno and let him know what time he can expect you.  He will not be at the property unless he is expecting a guest.

The B&B is located on the 5th floor (although Europeans know this as the 4th floor).  The only downside is that there is no elevator, but Bruno is more than happy to help carry your bags up and down the very narrow staircase.

There are 3 rooms, each with its own theme – sun (red), moon (blue) and earth (green).  I stayed in the green room and it was spacious, very clean and comfortable.  The room had a queen size bed, along with a small desk and closet.  The window opened up into an inner courtyard area which made for a very quiet stay.

The location is also fantastic.  It is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the main train station, 10-15 minute walk to the city centre and 20-25 minute walk to the castle.  There is a bus stop located about a minute away as well.  I ended up taking the R2 bus from the train station to the B&B, but had I known how easy it was to get to the B&B from there, I would have preferred to walk the distance. Once you exit out of the station, you just need to keep heading straight (there was construction on top of the metro station when I visited, so I had to take a  bit of a detour).  Once you pass the metro station, you need to find Corso Umberto I and once you see that street, just continue on Coro Umberto I for about 15-20 minutes until you reach Via Eletto Starace.  The B&B is located on your left about 15 steps after you turn into Via Eletto Starace.
