Hotel Review: Hotel Ibis Xi’An

This is a very typical Ibis hotel – economical, basic, clean, with friendly staff.  The rooms were actually more spacious that I expected.  The bathroom was small but still acceptable.

The buffet breakfast wasn’t spectacular.  For CNY22, you pay for some vegetables, fried rice, ham, coffee and tea.

The service at the hotel was good, but they did seem surprised when we requested an extra pillow. They told us that there were already 3 in the room, although we told them that there were 2 of us and each of us wanted 2 pillows.

The hotel is located within a 5 minute walk to one of the Southern City Walls. Otherwise, it’s a bit far from everything else. The bus stop outside the hotel has buses to the Big Goose Pagoda, Tang Paradise, and the Railway Station. It was about a CNY10-15 cab ride to the Bell Tower from the hotel.
