We booked 5 nights at the Sofitel Grand Ambassador Seoul and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in through the doors, we were treated with bright smiles and phenomenal service. The concierge was very knowledgeable and everyone at the hotel spoke very good English.
The lobby was humongous and offered a great deal of sitting space. The location of the hotel wasn’t ideal, as it wasn’t within walking distance to any of the attractions, but the hotel did offer a complimentary shuttle service to places such as Myeongdong, Insadong and Itaewon.
When we finished checking in, a staff member personally brought us up to the room and spent about 5 minutes showing us everything in the room, as well as where to find the schedule for the complimentary shuttle.
The Seoul City Bus Tour (a hop on and hop off service) had a bus stop located right outside the hotel, meaning you could easily get to some of the major attractions around Seoul. Dongguk University metro station (line 3) is located just 5 minutes away on foot.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Seoul.
