Hotel Review: 7 Days Inn Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street 7天重庆解放碑步行街店

This was a very typical 7 Days Inn hotel that was in a great location. The hotel lobby is on the first floor, but shares the space with some other businesses, so it doesn’t actually feel like a hotel lobby at all. In fact, when you step into the building, it’s almost like you’ve stepped into an office reception area.

We arrived into Chongqing on an overnight train ride where we probably got an hour of sleep at most.  It was around 7:00am when we got to the hotel and we decided to head to the restaurant on the 8th floor as we had seen a sign advertising a nutritious breakfast.  This turned out to be an all carbs breakfast of 3 small buns, a bowl of congee and a cup of soybean milk.  For CNY7.00, it was very cheap and filling but very bland and left lots to be desired.

The room is of typical 7 Days Inn fashion. No frills but had a comfortable bed and was clean.

The service was very good, although there was one girl at the front desk who had a snarkier attitude.  As its name suggests, the hotel is located very close to the Pedestrian area of Jiefangbei, making transportation quite convenient.
