Twin Peaks of San Francisco

The Twin Peaks were something that we weren’t planning on seeing as they are a bit outside of the downtown core of the city.  Luckily, one of my friends who lives in the area was free one afternoon and took me up to the Twin Peaks for a view of the city.  At around 925 feet, they are two of the highest points in all of San Francisco.

When we got out of the car after driving up the winding road, I was surprised at the huge temperature difference. I expected that it would be cooler than down in the city, but I didn’t expect the difference to be so big.  It was not just cooler up at the top, but it was actually cold!  The wind was gusting and blowing directly into us and the chill made it impossible to stay outside for more than a few minutes.  I felt that the weather back home in Canada was much warmer than this!

The view was amazing and I would love to head back up there again one day.  I’ll be sure to be prepared with heavier clothing the next time.
